The install is so easy you could easily figure out
what to do with the parts in front of you. Basically the bracket that holds
the louvers on just slips under the window stripping. The bracket is actually
two strips, one for each side of the window. The top part has a screw hole
for the louvers to pivot on when you lift them up to clean the rear window,
and the bottom part has a hole that the retainer clicks into to hold the
louvers down when not cleaning the window.
The first thing you need to do is loosen up the
weather stripping that's been stuck to that window for nearly 15 years
now. Use the screw driver and carefully push the weather stripping back
were it meets the window, it should come loose but be carefull not to cut
the rubber. Do this along the vertical sides of the window. Now try and
slip the brackets under the rubber edge. I found it easiest to use a small
flat blade screw driver to lift the rubber at the top of the window and
slip a little of the bracket under it. Then I slowly worked my way down
the window, getting a little more under each time. Once you get them both
in there try and mount the louvers. I had to adjust the brackets slightly
to get them to line up with the louvers. But before you mount the louvers
use the clear silicon to seal any edges of the rubber weather stripping
that are not sealed so that water won't get in between the rubber and the
glass. Then mount the louvers. Its that easy!
